Race, Equity & Inclusion: Our Experiences as BIPOC Planners

October 30, 2019

On October 30th, 2019 MIIPOC hosted the Race, Equity & Inclusion: Our Experiences as BIPOC Planners panel which dove deeply into the experiences, challenges and triumphs of BIPOC planners in Toronto. Panelists, Francis Kwashie and Craig Cal, shared experiences transitioning into the workforce, barriers they encountered in the workforce, and how they overcame those challenges. Panelists also explored how as a BIPOC planner they navigated planning politics and planning issues that disproportionately affect BIPOC communities within the workplace, and as part of existing/past projects
